Updating your bank account details for payouts

As an eBay seller, you'll receive your payouts in your linked bank account. If your bank details aren't up to date, or if you want to receive payouts to a different account, you'll need to update your bank account details from the Payments tab in Seller Hub, or from Payments in My eBay.

The information on this page applies only to customers who live in the European Union. Customers who live outside the European Union should read our article on updating your Payoneer account details for payouts.

From the Payments tab in Seller Hub, or Payments in My eBay, you can see which bank account is currently set up to receive your payouts, and update your details when you need to.

To update your bank account for payouts in Seller Hub:

  1. Go to the Payments tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Select Edit next to Payout method.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

To update your bank account for payouts in My eBay:

  1. Go to Payments in My eBay.
  2. Select Edit under your bank account labelled Used for payouts.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

It usually takes 2 business days for changes to be confirmed and payouts to be enabled for your new bank account.

Your linked bank account must be a current or business account. It can't be a savings account.

Changing to a business account

If you want to use a business bank account to sell on eBay, you should register as a business account. If you registered as an individual, here's how to switch to a business account:

  1. Go to My eBay and select Account.
  2. Select Personal information, then Edit information.
  3. Select Change account type to business.
  4. Choose business type, fill in your information, and select Continue.
  5. Verify all information is correct and select Confirm.

Once you’ve changed to a business account, you may need to submit additional verification information. If we need to verify any information, we’ll notify you by email and place a banner in Seller Hub letting you know what to do next.


Once you’ve updated your details, we’ll verify your bank account, which can take up to 2 business days. Once your account is verified, we’ll send you a confirmation email, and you’ll start receiving your payouts in your new bank account.
